Axel Cipollini was born in Rome in 1961, he's actually living in Barcelona, Spain.
His first shot was taken at the age of 10 at Pompei's archaeological site using a Kodak Instamatic camera; he immediately understood that he liked it a lot but it took him almost a quarter of a century to decide that photography was his life.
He's now working mainly with publishing and advertising houses as well as with various magazines (Io Donna del Corriere della Sera, Repubblica, Playboy, etc.). He' s been developing his wide experience in different fields, from reportage shootings to portraits, from still life to advertising shootings, but what he loves most is to use photography to show the wonder of the world around us.
He's represented by Aurora Photos (USA) and Getty Images (USA). In 2000 he has been awarded in the Nikon International Photo Contest. In 2003 he edited a book on real feminine beauty: Semplice Bellezza.
